Hello everyone!

We're getting very excited for the BCMA’s 2023 gathering which will take
place in person from *September 26 – 28, 2023*! It is an honour to have
been invited by our colleagues at Saahlinda Naay Haida Gwaii Museum and the
Haida Heritage Centre to join them for three days of learning and
connection.

It is our goal to make this an unforgettable event that builds on
discussions, learnings, and sessions from past BCMA conferences. Planning
is in full swing and we ask for your patience as we dive further into
organizing this event and answering the most important questions as soon as
we can.

To ensure that we offer an event that reflects our host community’s
capacity and that our delegates are received and remembered as respectful
guests, we anticipate a *limited number of available tickets*. The BCMA
plans to offer bursaries, travel assistance, discounted tickets, and
virtual engagement opportunities to make the gathering as accessible as
possible to the widest range of members and delegates.

We just launched a call for proposals for two peer-to-peer learning
opportunities on two days of the gathering. Please *find all details and
our call for stories here* <https://museum.bc.ca/2023-conference-call/>.

*Bursary applications and registration are* *slated to launch in mid-June*
as we continue to put together the budget for this gathering. Ticket prices
and information will be announced in advance.

Our most frequently asked questions are continuously updated and can be
found on our website. Please *head to our FAQ page
<https://museum.bc.ca/2023-conference-faq/>* and give it a read. If you
cannot find an answer there, we are still working on it.

Haawa (thank you) for your patience!
