Hello Heritage Fellows,

the POMO Museum owns a replica biplane (see info and photos of it at this linkhttps://www.pomo.museum/plane-lands-at-the-museum). About a year ago it was damaged in some heavy snow fall right around New Year (I do not have the exact date). The damage was largely to the tale area but there is punctures in one of the wings, tears in the fabric covers on the body, and damage to the propeller.

This replica is not accessioned into our collection. We have been in contact with the Canadian Museum of Flight in Langley and their volunteer restorers have offered to take a look for us. Ultimately though, we are interested in rehousing the replica. It is a unique piece that probably should be accessioned as part of BC's history or WWI heritage. However, POMO Museum does not have the space to house it inside the building, and we are unwilling to house it outside again for fear of further damage.

Does anyone know of any collection this plane might fit into? If you have any other advice for me I would appreciate it.

Cheers
