This May the BC Museums Association and Heritage BC are bringing together
the culture and heritage sector for three days of conversation about
breaking silos, stepping up as leaders in our communities, and recognizing
our roles in decolonization.

Takeaways from the conference will include building strategies to make
allies in local government, how to turn advocacy into leadership, and
helping your communities address difficult histories.

Join us for thought-provoking discussion and collaboration that brings
together museums, galleries, heritage sites, local governments, science
centres, and Indigenous cultural organizations.

May 4: Collaboration

   - Highlights include: Kamala Todd, a Métis-Cree filmmaker, community
planner, and Indigenous cultural heritage specialist will share thoughts on
decolonizing heritage, building relationships and healing; A roundtable
exploring to collaborate on emergency preparedness and find partners within
your community to become more resilient

May 11: Leadership & Governance

   - Highlights include: Jules André-Brown discussing the "multi-headed
hydra" of leadership and governance; A discussion of what it means to be an
   “activist” museum?

May 18: Redress
