* Contribute to the renewal of the CMA *
THE OPPORTUNITY

The Canadian Museums Association (CMA) is seeking qualified candidates to
fill three (3) vacancies on its Board of Directors. As an association with
a diverse membership and representing a diverse community, the CMA is
committed to ensuring that its Board is inclusive and reflects this
diversity in all its forms.

This year, In order to encourage the broadest possible representation, the
CMA is innovating by launching an open call for expressions of interest
from the entire CMA membership.

Following an evaluation of all expressions of interest (this could include
an interview) received, the new Directors will be appointed by the Board to
serve until the next Annual General Meeting (likely next April), at which
time they may choose to run for the same position in a succeeding term.

Serving as a member of the Board at this pivotal moment in the CMA’s
history, will provide an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to the

a journey.

Most importantly, as a key member of a team of dedicated Board volunteers
and professional staff committed to modernizing the CMA’s value
proposition, you will bring your creativity, innovative ideas and passion
for museums and heritage institutions to help drive positive change.

The CMA is strongly committed to removing barriers in hiring and board
selection processes for historically marginalized people, including those
who self-identify as belonging to the diverse Indigenous communities or who
self-identify as Black, Racialized, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ2S+
persons, people with lived and living experience of mental health problems
