Athabasca University offers several options for fully online studies in Heritage Resources Management (HRM) this winter, but for aspiring students seeking to begin classes in January, please note that the registration deadlines are quickly approaching for both graduate and undergraduate classes.

For graduate students, there are two grouped-study classes offered in the Winter Semester. They are:
HERM 561: Advanced Issues in Interpretive Planning<https://www.athabascau.ca/syllabi/herm/herm561.php>
HERM 672: Heritage and Risk Management<https://www.athabascau.ca/syllabi/herm/herm672.html>
These two classes begin January 10th and run until April 22nd.

Additionally HERM 512: Advanced Methods in Heritage Research<https://www.athabascau.ca/syllabi/herm/herm512.php> is offered in a unpaced, individualized format and students are accepted into this course throughout the year.

These three graduate courses are open to anyone holding any type of undergraduate degree, and it is not necessary to be a program student with AU to take these classes. Once completed, these courses may stand alone as professional development opportunities, or be applied to either of AU's heritage programs, the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma In HRM<http://heritage.resources.athabascau.ca/graduate/index.php> or the Heritage and Social History Stream in the MA-IS program<http://mais.athabascau.ca/specialization/heritage_social_history.php>. For details and graduate class registration procedures, please see our program website<http://heritage.resources.athabascau.ca/graduate/admissions/index.php> or contact hrm at athabascau.ca<mailto:hrm at athabascau.ca>. Note that the registration deadline for the paced courses is December 1st.

For undergraduate students, AU offers eight university-level courses<http://heritage.resources.athabascau.ca/undergraduate/courses/index.php> in Heritage studies that may be taken individually for professional development or together with other courses as part of AU's undergraduate credentials in heritage, either the HRM University Certificate<http://heritage.resources.athabascau.ca/undergraduate/index.php> or the BA Minor in HRM<http://calendar.athabascau.ca/undergrad/current/program/arts-herm.php>. All undergrad classes are in an unpaced individualized study format, and have a registration deadline of the 10th of the month prior to the desired start date (so to begin classes in January, students must register by December 10th). To register in a class, or to join one of the undergraduate programs, contact us at hrm at athabascau.ca<mailto:hrm at athabascau.ca> or visit the undergrad Admissions Website<https://www.athabascau.ca/admissions/>.
