Who Is Telling Our Stories, Who Is Listening? A Journey of Engagement at Lougheed House National and Provincial Historic Site

Join Lougheed House, the 2020 Award recipient, on Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. This half-day workshop will explore how Lougheed House has successfully developed new projects with a focus on inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) with a particular focus on 'bringing along' currently active members of the community while the organization undergoes transformational change. Featuring presentations from Lougheed House staff, community partners, and Susie Wilkening, author of the American Alliance of Museum's Audiences and Inclusion primer, this event will explore how all cultural organizations can consider relationships to understand, empathize with, and reassure visitors that they will continue to be welcome.
