[BCMA] Emily Carr 150 events at Carr House

Hi everyone
I realized that in my past announcement I tried to attach a poster which
ended up not being visible on the listserv. I've added our Emily Carr 150
events in plain text below which everyone should actually be able to see.

December 11 2pm: An Afternoon of Poetry. The award ceremony for the City of
Victoria's Emily Carr 150 Poetry Contest. After the ceremony, there will be
a poetry reading by City of Victoria Poet Laureate John Barton and Youth
Poet Laureate James Summer. The winning poems will be on display at Carr
House during this event.
December 12 2pm: Book Launch. The official release of *Unvarnished:
Autobiographical Sketches by Emily Carr*. Editor Kathryn Bridge and curator
India Young will be present to discuss this exciting new publication from
the Royal BC Museum. Copies of Unvarnished will be available for purchase
and signing.
December 13 10am-6pm: Open House. On the 150th anniversary of Emily Carr's
birth, Carr House will be open for visitors to look around. In the garden,
you'll find sculptures from local artist Tanya Bub. Inside, grab a birthday
treat, browse our gift shop, or write Emily a birthday card while we
celebrate 150 years of Emily Carr!
