*What is Hearing Loss and How can I help*

Did you know one in ten Canadians experiences hearing loss? Good hearing
and communication are important at all stages of life.  Yat Li from
Wavefront Centre, a non-profit charity, will discuss how individuals can
create better communication accessibility. They will explore communication
accessibility, hearing health, assistive devices and briefly discuss
tinnitus & hyperacusis



*5 Surprisingly Easy Changes to Make Your Space More Accessible*

Wednesday, June 23 from 12-1pm



Have you always wanted to make your business, public space (i.e.museum)
more accessible to people with disabilities and you just don't know where
to start? Now more than ever is the perfect time to build in some inclusion
strategies into your restart planning. The good news is, it's not as
complicated as you think, and not only can you increase disability
awareness, but also provide opportunities for a new, often underutilized
talent pool to join your team as staff.



*Creating Welcoming Community Spaces*

Wednesday, July 21 from 12-1pm


In this presentation, Taylor Sands from the Canucks Autism Network will
introduce attendees to autism and strategies that can be used right away to
interact with someone on the spectrum. Attendees will gain practical tools
to enhance customer service and communication and increase predictability.
